Located in Yokkaichi, a city with a population of more than 311 thousand in northern Mie, Port of Yokkaichi has long acted as a hub for shipping and trade in central Japan. One of five hub airports in Japan, Centrair in Aichi Prefecture, first opened in early 2005, is the main gateway linking central Japan to the world. The third most important international airport in Japan, Centrair served roughly 12.6 million travelers and move more than 172,000 tons of international cargo in 2019. Its location on an artificial island in Ise Bay, 40 km south of Nagoya, puts Centrair close to Mie.
- Kansai International Airport
Opened in 1994, Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay. The airport is a gateway for Kansai area, the western part of Japan. In 2019, the number of passengers were about 6.7 million for domestic flights and about 22.1 million for international flights.

関西国際空港は1994年に大阪湾の人口島に作られ、関西エリアの玄関口として機能しています。2019年には国内線の乗客数が約670万人、国際線の乗客数が約2,210万人でした。
